The Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy® is an immersive four-day (24+ hour) training experience, foundational for therapists aiming to specialize in EFCT. This training offers a comprehensive introduction to the EFCT model, focusing on the science of attachment and the systematic approach to couple therapy. It's the first step in formal EFT training on the path to advanced practice and certification.

Through a combination of lectures, videotape, observation of live interviews, and exercises, participants will learn to identify the basic stages and steps of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and to help clients recognize and de-escalate problematic cycles of interaction. Participants will also learn to help couples create or restore the emotional bond between them once the negative cycle is understood and interrupted.

The EFCT Externship is an immersive 28-hour foundational training in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy. Through a combination of lectures, videotape, observation of live interviews, and exercises, participants will learn to identify the basic stages and steps of Emotionally Focused Therapy and to help couples, individuals, and families recognize and de-escalate problematic cycles of interaction and promote secure bond in couples.

This workshop presents an opportunity to understand how to practice Emotionally Focused Therapy with couples where one or more partners are neurodivergent. The workshop will include a variety of neurodiversity including Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, Dyscalculia and Dyspraxia and will approach neurodiversity from a affirming lens.

Take your EFT skills to a new level with Core skills (CS).  The training consists of four, two-day trainings (12 hours each total 48 hours) that will focus on the core skills of each of the EFT Tango moves and steps/stages. The trainings will offer instruction, experiential exercises and case consultations. More experiential practice of EFT will depend your skills as you feel it more and more in your body.
