Core Skills Training led by Certified EFT Trainers and comprises four 2-day events that occur through September to December 2024. The overall context of the EFT Tango, each 2-day session is dedicated to specific steps of the model and the therapeutic tasks and interventions. In this training, we will be discussing, showing, demonstrating, and generally exploring EFCT with a focus on LGBTQ+ relationships.

The EFT Externship is the first step toward EFT Certification, and it is required that you participate in an Externship before attending Core Skills. Space is limited, so sign up early. This Externship will be taught by Debi Scimeca-Diaz and is hosted by Mid-Michigan EFT, a Not-For-Profit Organization run by EFT-trained volunteers who are working to expand awareness of EFT in Mid-Michigan and to create opportunities for EFT therapists to connect.

The Externship in EFCT is the first step in becoming an ICEEFT Certified EFT Couple Therapist. It provides the theoretical underpinnings of the EFT model, the evidence-base for EFCT, the 3 stages and 9 steps of the EFCT model (the EFT road map), a comprehensive overview of the key EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities and a live demonstration of an EFCT session.

This four-day (24hr) course revises and deepens therapists' understanding of the EFCT model and the interventions used to achieve the three change events identified by process research that move loving relationships from insecurity to security. It includes case presentations, video demonstrations, and experiential exercises, as well as providing practical resources for therapists to use with their clients.
