This in-person Boulder Externship will be April 23-26, 2025. A 4-day externship includes presentations of theory, clinical techniques and skills, training exercises, video recordings, observation of live sessions, and discussion of specific cases and clinical issues. Along with didactic presentation, this training will incorporate participant role plays in small group settings to practice this experiential model. The externship is a pre-requisite for advanced Core Skills training in EFT.

The EFCT Standard Core Skills training is a 4-day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFCT. It follows up from the EFCT Externship and serves as the second (and final) course in the pathway to become a Certified EFCT Therapist. Participants can opt for this 24-hour option as part of their EFCT Certification requirements. 12 hours are dedicated each to Stage 1 & Stage 2.

An Externship in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy is an immersive four-day (24+ hour) training experience, foundational for therapists aiming to specialize in EFCT. Led by certified trainers, it offers a comprehensive introduction to the EFCT model, focusing on the science of attachment and the systematic approach to couple therapy.

This four-day workshop presents the theory and practice of emotionally focused couples therapy.
The workshop consists of didactic teaching, observation of live sessions, and experiential learning
through role playing, videotape viewing and transcript analysis. Participants receive copies of
pertinent literature and transcripts.

Clare has a focus on diversity and inclusion in her training. This means that this training looks at applying the EFCT model to monogamous couples and non-monogamous relationships, as well as staying sensitive to cultural context and the impact of minority stress on relational dynamics.

The EFCT Externship is a 4-day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFT. It serves as the foundation training to becoming a Certified EFCT Therapist.

The externship is intended to make the four-day EFCT training accessible to students and mental health professionals in the Greensboro and Piedmont Triad areas. We are thrilled to be providing another 4 day online ICEEFT endorsed EFCT Externship that focuses on LGBTQ+ relationships.
It takes place online on June 2nd & 3rd + June 16th & 17th 2025, with timing to suit many countries – afternoon-evening in Britain, morning – mid afternoon in North America.

This is a 4-day externship in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), organized by the Evangelisches Zentralinstitut für Familienberatung (EZI) in Berlin, Germany. The event will be taking place on site in Berlin at the EZI offices.
