Upcoming EFT Training Events for Therapists

The EFCT Standard Core Skills training is a 4-day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFT. It serves as the second (and final) course in the pathway to become a Certified EFCT Therapist. Participants can opt for this 24-hour option as part of their EFCT Certification requirements. The Externship in EFCT is a four-day (24hr) workshop that is the first step in becoming an ICEEFT Certified EFT Couple Therapist. It provides the theoretical underpinnings of the EFT model, the evidence-base for EFCT, the 3 stages and 9 steps of the EFCT model (the EFT road map), a comprehensive overview of the key EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities and a live demonstration

This four-day training outlines the theory and practice of EFIT. It will explain how EFIT conceptualises health and dysfunction from an attachment perspective will introduce therapists to a systematic sequence of interventions, the EFT Tango, that helps the therapist to stay with present processes in every session and to shape key change events. Didactic presentations will be accompanied by the viewing of EFIT sessions and experiential exercises.

The EFCT Externship training is an introductory 4-day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFT. It serves as the first course in the pathway to become a Certified EFT Couples Therapist. Join ICEEFT certified trainer Heike McCahon as she facilitates the EFCT Externship - the major entry point to gain a basic understanding of the EFT theory and the clinical techniques for working with couples.

Formation avancée en thérapie de couple centrée sur les émotions : Habilités Centrales 2

Cette formation aborde le Stade 2. Au cours des étapes 5, 6 et 7 le travail avec les émotions primaires s'accentuent. Nous verrons comment utiliser les interventions de base et le Tango pour ré-engager le partenaire en retrait et adoucir (ou relâcher) le partenaire poursuiveur. Le Stade 3, avec la consolidation du cycle interactif et le traitement des problèmes concrets, sera également étudié. La formation a lieu en petit groupe.

Even when couples have achieved a measure of secure emotional attachment in therapy, there is often still a need for direct work on their sexual relationship. Learn how to work effectively with both the emotional and sexual attachment cycles with Trainer George Faller and Certified Sex Therapist Laurie Watson.

This 10hr training uses EFIT case examples and exercises to deepen participants' mastery of the EFIT model. Therapists will discuss blocks and build their confidence and practical skills. By watching segments of sessions, breaking down the EFIT interventions and clinical decision-points, this workshop will consolidate and develop the EFIT therapist's precision and insightful proficiency of practice.

This four-day (24hr) course revises and deepens therapists' understanding of the EFCT model and the interventions used to achieve the three change events identified by process research that move loving relationships from insecurity to security. It includes case presentations, video demonstrations, and experiential exercises, as well as providing practical resources for therapists to use with their clients.

This one-day (6hr) workshop will focus on injuries to attachment bonds in close relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust due to broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using EFT for couples, including the Attachment Injury Resolution Model. Videos of the repair process will be shown, and participants will receive practical strategies and tools for working with broken trust in close relatio

This one-day training explores working with clients with high levels of shame. We know that many people who have experienced disappointing or distressing relationships with their attachment figures, go on to carry a legacy of shame. This workshop addresses how to use the therapeutic alliance and the EFIT interventions to create safety in our therapeutic space and to create powerful moments of change and growth for our most shame-prone clients.
