This four day immersion in the theory and practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy is the foundation of the training required towards becoming a Certified EFCT therapist and is endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). It includes an overview of EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities and a live couple session.

This workshop will provide an overview of the research and theoretical models of adult attachment from the perspective of injuries to attachment bonds in romantic relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust as a result of broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using EFCT.

Healing from Affair & Infidelity in Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT).
This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of attachment injuries and ruptures to trust in romantic relationships. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), we’ll examine how betrayals—such as affairs—impact relational bonds and how healing is possible using the Attachment Injury Resolution Model (AIRM).

This 1 Day online workshop offers a deep dive into one of the most important processes in EFT: repairing attachment injuries. Using EFT's A.I.R.M. roadmap, therapists will learn how to identify attachment injuries, and practically apply EFT's AIRM & interventions to address/repair unresolved relational injuries and traumas that clients get stuck not being able to move past these events in their relationships. This one-day training explores working with clients with high levels of shame. We know that many people who have experienced disappointing or distressing relationships with their attachment figures, go on to carry a legacy of shame. This workshop addresses how to use the therapeutic alliance and the EFIT interventions to create safety in our therapeutic space and to create powerful moments of change and growth for our most shame-prone clients.

This course examines how EFFT honours the different relationships that exist between the parent and child, as well as within the romantic relationship. We will demonstrate our work with video tape examples, and offer experiential exercises designed to help participants immerse themselves in the experience of stepfamily development.
