The 4-Day Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for Couples is an immersive, foundational training for mental health professionals seeking to deepen their understanding of attachment-based couple therapy. Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, EFT is a research-supported model that helps couples move from distress to connection by identifying negative patterns and fostering secure emotional bonds.

This one-day training examines how Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT) helps clients facing mood-related challenges, particularly depression. Presented by ICEEFT Courses.

Join Cindy for Core Skills training to practice and deeper understand each stage, step and intervention in "Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy". The training will offer instruction, live case consultation and experiential exercises as set forth by ICEEFT. EFCT Core Skills consists of a total of 8 training days (48 hours) over 2 x 4 days.

Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) externship is the major entry point for therapists learning this comprehensive series of training programs to gain a basic understanding of the EFT theory and clinical techniques of working with couples. EFT was developed by Sue Johnson and is being presented by the ICEEFT certified trainer Paul Guillory, PhD. Sue Johnson has published several outstand books & training videos for learning the EFT model.

This workshop will provide an overview of the research and theoretical models of adult attachment from the perspective of injuries to attachment bonds in romantic relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust as a result of broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using EFCT.

This four day immersion in the theory and practice of Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy is the foundation of the training required towards becoming a Certified EFCT therapist and is endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT). It includes an overview of EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities and a live couple session.

This 1 Day online workshop offers a deep dive into one of the most important processes in EFT: repairing attachment injuries. Using EFT's A.I.R.M. roadmap, therapists will learn how to identify attachment injuries, and practically apply EFT's AIRM & interventions to address/repair unresolved relational injuries and traumas that clients get stuck not being able to move past these events in their relationships. This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of attachment injuries and ruptures to trust in romantic relationships. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Couple Therapy (EFCT), we’ll examine how betrayals—such as affairs—impact relational bonds and how healing is possible using the Attachment Injury Resolution Model (AIRM).
