This externship in EFCT contains didactic teaching about the theoretical underpinnings of the EFT model, the evidence-base for EFCT, the 3 stages and 9 steps of the EFCT model (the EFT road map), a comprehensive overview of the key EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities, and where possible, a live demonstration of an EFCT client session.

The four-day EFT Externship Training is the first level of training in the Emotionally Focused Couples therapy model. Developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, EFT is the most widely researched of all the couples models and has been empirically proven to be the most effective model of couples therapy over an extended period of time.
