This set of Online Core Skills will run from September 2025 to January 2026 in four two-day blocks as follows:

Block 3: 13 – 14 November 2025 with trainers Robert Allan and Helene Igwebuike

Deepen your understanding of EFT and application to couple’s therapy.

EFCT Core Skills Training presents a set of four, two-day workshops and is designed to follow the EFCT Externship. Core Skills offers an in-depth opportunity to develop the skills essential to the practice of EFCT. Each segment includes instruction, role play, observation of video, and consultation In this training, we will be discussing, showing, demonstrating, and generally exploring EFCT with a focus on LGBTQ+ relationships.

Join Dr. Sam Jinich for Core Skills training in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico.
Core Skills give a “deeper dive” into each stage, step, and intervention that make up an “Emotionally Focused” approach to couples therapy. The first weekend of Core Skills covers Stage 1, the second weekend Stage 2 and working with attachment Injuries. Modules 1 & 2: 9/19/2025 – 9/21/2025. Modules 3 & 4: 1/9/2026 – 1/11/2026

Core Skills training consists of four, two-day trainings (11 hours each) that will focus on the core skills of each of the EFT steps/stages. The training will offer instruction, live case consultations, group supervision and experiential exercises as set forth by the ICEEFT. Participants are required to have completed an EFT externship. Core Skills training can be applied towards certification.

This is a 3-day in-person Core Skills training with ICEEFT trainer James Hawkins, PhD, hosted by EFTMA at Bentley University Conference Center, Waltham, MA. This is the second Core Skills module, consisting of Core Skills 3 & 4, and will be offered on Thursday, October 2, 2025, Friday, October 3, 2025 and Saturday, October 4, 2025 .

This in person EFCT Core Skills will be limited to 16 participants and will be moving through the EFT process facilitating a deeper understanding of the interventions and techniques of the model in this four, 2-day training format.
