This four-day workshop presents the theory and practice of emotionally focused couples therapy.
The workshop consists of didactic teaching, observation of live sessions, and experiential learning
through role playing, videotape viewing and transcript analysis. Participants receive copies of
pertinent literature and transcripts.

This training involves 2 morning and 2 afternoon sessions of 3 to 4 hours each. Each session is designed for a small group of participants to deepen and refine skills used in the EFCT model, and includes instruction, experiential exercises, video examples and case discussion.

Step into the world of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with our immersive 3-day Externship. You do not need to be bilingual to attend this externship. The main training will be offered in English but there will be opportunities to practice EFT in Spanish in bilingual (Spanish) practice groups.

EFCT Core Skills Training presents a set of four, two-day workshops and is designed to follow the EFCT Externship. Core Skills offers an in-depth opportunity to develop the skills essential to the practice of EFCT. Each segment includes instruction, role play, observation of video, and consultation In this training, we will be discussing, showing, demonstrating, and generally exploring EFCT with a focus on LGBTQ+ relationships.

The EFCT Standard Core Skills training is a 4 day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFT. It serves as the second (and final) course in the pathway to become a Certified EFCT Therapist.

An Externship in EFT is a transformative, immersive 4-day training. This four-day (24hr) course revises and deepens therapists' understanding of the EFCT model and the interventions used to achieve the three change events identified by process research that move loving relationships from insecurity to security. It includes case presentations, video demonstrations, and experiential exercises, as well as providing practical resources for therapists to use with their clients.
