Fundamentals of EFT is a standalone one day online introductory course to all 3 EFT modalities - EFT for Individual (EFIT), EFT for Couple (EFCT) and EFT for Family (EFFT). The course provides an outline of EFT, underpinned by attachment science for healing through emotional connection. Attendees will learn through didactic presentations including EFT TANGO. It is a course recommended precursor to further EFT training.

This training outlines the theory and practice of EFIT focusing on the primacy of emotion and the creation of a safe haven & secure base alliance. It will explain how EFIT conceptualises health and dysfunction from an attachment perspective and will help therapists to identify cycles of emotion regulation “within” and cycles of interpersonal relating “between” that block growth and adaptation.

This training reviews the concepts of EFIT focusing on real-world case examples and experiential exercises to deepen participants’ mastery of the EFIT model. It will allow therapists to practice the interventions, discuss blocks and stuck places, and aims to build both confidence and skills. Participants are encouraged to bring a 10-20 minute video and/or transcripts of their stuck place in order to receive credit for EFIT supervision.

This two-day training (10 hours) on 12th and 26th October 2024 follows on from Essentials of EFIT and helps you deepen your understanding of the EFIT model and discover effective ways to overcome obstacles and barriers to change.

You will join with your colleagues as they show real-world case examples of their work, and watch as ICEEFT Certified EFT trainers, Helene Igwebuike, Sarah McConnell, and Robert Allan help guide the therap

The four-day EFIT workshop is based on the attachment-based humanistic and systemic EFT model developed by Sue Johnson and is the first step to becoming a Certified Emotionally Focused Individual Therapist. The workshop will take place in 2 parts.

Based on the EFIT and trauma course developed by Dr. Sue Johnson, this training demonstrates how EFIT is applied to heal horrific trauma experienced by a Cantonese speaking Chinese trauma survivor. Crucial elements include facing her abusive and neglectful parents who are deceased, working through her deep shame and self hatred, stabilization of fearful avoid attachment with dyadic co-regulation and secure attachment with her therapist.

EFIT Essentials is an amalgamation of the previous Level 1 and Level 2 EFIT trainings, now offered as a seamless, intensive learning experience.
