Upcoming EFT Workshops

This workshop will provide an overview of the research and theoretical models of adult attachment from the perspective of injuries to attachment bonds in romantic relationships. Time will be spent on defining ruptures to trust as a result of broken agreements between partners and on how these ruptures can be healed using EFCT. There will be opportunity for questions and discussion as well as practical, experiential exercises.

In this Masterclass, participants will acquire scientific and theoretical knowledge about the impact of the self of the therapist on the therapeutic process and will also embark on a journey to access awareness of their intergenerationally transmitted relational patterns and explore how these patterns influence their therapeutic work, especially when accessing deep emotions in EFT.

Demonstrates the application of Emotionally Focused Family Therapy in working with a grade school girl in a Chinese single parent family stuck in negative pattern of lying, stealing, misbehaviour, disrespect and shutting down. Helping the mother to soften and respond to her daughter's sense of loss with her parent's divorce and not being allowed to see her father helps the daughter connect with her mother and rebuild trust.

Based on material developed by Drs. James Furrow and Kathryn de Bruin on applying EFFT to school aged children, this EFFT training shows how EFFT is applied to a Chinese primary school student presenting with lying and stealing over 5 powerful sessions with her single mother. The EFFT map is reviewed and adaptations for working with primary school children are discussed. No pre-requisites are required for this EFFT training.

This is the workshop for you if you are fairly new to working with clients who identify as lesbian, gay, transgender, or queer, or any other related identity. You want to offer LGBTQ+ affirmative EFT and know there is a lot you don’t know. We invite people of all identities, cisheterosexual and LGBTQ+.
