A 4-day externship includes presentations of theory, clinical techniques and skills, training exercises, video recordings, observation of live interviews and discussion of specific cases and clinical issues. Along with didactic presentation, this training will incorporate participant role plays in small group settings to practice this experiential model, as well as opportunity to observe trainers working with a couple live.

This in-person Advanced Core Skills Training 1 in Singapore is part of the comprehensive 48-hour Core Skills program. This 12-hour session focuses on refining specific interventions to stabilize distressed relationships in Stage 1, incorporating didactic teaching, case consultations, and experiential exercises.

This will be the first EFCT externship offered in Zimbabwe, in-person in Harare from 4-7 August 2025. Training team: Elmien Lesch, certified EFT Trainer in South Africa, supported by EFT therapists mostly from South Africa, Uganda and Kenya. Clare has a focus on diversity and inclusion in her training. This is an official Externship, endorsed by the International Centre for Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy (ICEEFT) and brought to you by TRI EFT Alliant and Alliant International University.

Attending this 3 Day Externship is the first step in becoming trained the Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. Attending this externship is also a step towards becoming a certified EFT therapist and offers 24 hours of CEU's.

This four-day workshop presents the theory and practice of emotionally focused couples therapy.
The workshop consists of didactic teaching, observation of live sessions, and experiential learning
through role playing, videotape viewing and transcript analysis. Participants receive copies of
pertinent literature and transcripts.

This training involves 2 morning and 2 afternoon sessions of 3 to 4 hours each. Each session is designed for a small group of participants to deepen and refine skills used in the EFCT model, and includes instruction, experiential exercises, video examples and case discussion.

Step into the world of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) with our immersive 3-day Externship. You do not need to be bilingual to attend this externship. The main training will be offered in English but there will be opportunities to practice EFT in Spanish in bilingual (Spanish) practice groups.

EFCT Core Skills Training presents a set of four, two-day workshops and is designed to follow the EFCT Externship. Core Skills offers an in-depth opportunity to develop the skills essential to the practice of EFCT. Each segment includes instruction, role play, observation of video, and consultation In this training, we will be discussing, showing, demonstrating, and generally exploring EFCT with a focus on LGBTQ+ relationships.

The EFCT Standard Core Skills training is a 4 day immersion training (24 hours) in the theory and practice of EFT. It serves as the second (and final) course in the pathway to become a Certified EFCT Therapist.
Participants can opt for this 24-hour option as part of their EFCT Certification requirements.

Core Skills give a “deeper dive” into each stage, step, and intervention that make up an “Emotionally Focused” approach to couples therapy. It provides the theoretical underpinnings of the EFT model, the evidence-base for EFCT, the 3 stages and 9 steps of the EFCT model (the EFT road map), a comprehensive overview of the key EFT therapist interventions including the EFT Tango, as well as video demonstrations, small-group activities and a live demonstration of an EFCT session.
